The documentation for the Google Nest Master Driver mentions "These drivers will only work in regions where the applicable Google Nest Products are approved for sale by Google".
So if i were to buy a Google Nest Thermostat in say the UAE and then try to set it up outside of the region in an area where they're not approved for sale would the setup for the nest master driver fail ? Is this linked to the google account region and if so could i change the account region as a work around ?

Has anybody had any experience with this before , would appreciate some advice.

I know about customizing driver icons and experience buttons but don't know how to make those open up another screen of buttons like in the case of Listen bringing up audio sources/streaming services in the room so i wanted to find out if there was anyway to edit the built in UI icons.
