I'm very delayed in this reply, but just as an FYI, port forwarding works just fine. I don't have HomeKit yet and I was just looking for a quick solution.

Has anyone tried using the Apple Siri Shortcuts driver for commands when not on your internal network? It seems like it'd be relatively straightforward to NAT to to C4 controller?
