  1. Hi Andrew, Sorry for being late in responding to your question. The switch is Netgear M4100-26-POE. I owe this community an update. Let me just say that it's finally over. As suggested by my friend, I ordered a 7" TS v2 from eBay. I removed the power box and used the RJ45 port only to power up the 7" TS. After enabling the WiFi connection, the screen came back up successfully. I chose the Director file in the HC-250 system. I was pretty happy even though the clock is off (Central time instead of Pacific time), front door security camera is off (never works),and one family dim light does not respond (used to be fine). Though I really hope the clock will correct itself (I'm not holding my breath), this is probably the last time I worked on this unforgiving/short-lifecycle Control 4 system. I will let the next house owner struggle with it. Justin
  2. Gents, I have good news and bad news to update. Let's start with the good news. Both Amr and Cyknight are correct. Touch screen could not display anything simply because it fails to locate the image file location in HC-250. When I unscrewed the TS housing box, I saw the power wire as well as the RJ45 connection port, which match Cyknight's description. Now the bad news, according to my new dealer pro guru, is that when the TS was hard reset, it actually went back to OS 1.xx compatible, which does not work with HC-250's OS 2.9.0. Even the pro guru couldn't get the image updater working after nearly 1.5 hours. In the end, he recommended that I should upgrade the home automation (with two option quotes, $9K or $11K). He also pointed out the switch was a managed one(?) that blocked his upload attempts (composer pro, image loader...etc). And the TS connecting to both PoE cable and wired power line is weird. Well, that ends this recovery operation, doesn't it? Even though I was thinking maybe another TS with working WiFi might do the trick. But it is really beyond my bandwidth and not worthy the time/money anyway. So I disconnected the power to the TS (both cable and hard wires), so it doesn't consume any more electricity. I want to thank you all for your attentions and supports. It's time for us to move on. I probably will rely on the 4Sight subscription in my iPhone 8+ to manage the climate until we sell this house. In reality, I'll be more cautious when buying the next house that comes with pre-installed home automation. Justin
  3. Amr, No it stuck somewhere while booting up. After the text messages (last line was iP not available...), then the whole screen blackout. But I know the power is still connect to the TS because it is warm overnight. Justin
  4. Amr, I don't know how I can hook up the TS with the LAN cable onto the router. The TS port is wall-mounted. I don't know the connector type on the backside of TS (see attached picture). Also the System Manager, is it the router network interface software that I can see the network mapping? Justin
  5. Hello Cyknight, It has a port on the back to connect to the socket in the wall(pls see attached photo). Due to my stupidity, when I set up the new home network, I noticed the TSWMC5 has the wifi connection enabled, I turned it off to force it to use the switch assigned IP. Maybe that's the reason why it has error messages during the rebooting. Is there any way to re-enable the wifi? I had it hard reset, so why it did not find the network via wifi? Justin
  6. Andrew, This episode happened after I replaced Comcast's modem w/ a Motorola MB8600 cable modem and a TP-Link AX1500 router. The network was reset as you can imagine. Initially Control4 came back as before, then I noticed the front door IP camera did not. I used the touch screen panel to reconfigure the IP address, I probably messed up something after rebooting it. The TP-Link router is connected to a Netgear M4100-26-POE switch, which is the core of my home network for all the wired devices, such as the Control 4 HC-250 controller, and TSWMC5. I hard reset the TSWMC5 by pressing the C4 logo when it boot up. I saw some message saying Inputs: IP not available....etc (pls see attachment). I wonder if I need the Composer Pro to look at all the IP address to connect the controller to the TSWMC5. Thanks gents! Justin
  7. Hi there, Well, it didn't work. Tried to use the Control4 Composer HE to see what's going on, but got stuck w/ the subscription code. I suspect the Control4 box is not talking to the touch screen panel due to bad IP address. Is it possible?
  8. Got this very small 5" touch screen from C4 that displays all the connected devices in the house. It just went dark yesterday after I took it off the wall. Anybody knows how to fix it? Really appreciate it.
