New to control4 and was hoping someone could help me out with a weird issue im having.
Basic overview is everything appears to be controlled through IR (i've read about some being controlled through ethernet)
everything worked normal until I tried to change out the ethernet switch. I took out the switch that came with the house and put in a new one. I tired to turn on the system and nothing happened. I then switched back to the old switch and the same thing. I then realized the problem was the receiver wasnt turning on. I turned it on manually and it started to work. Now the weird part is I thought nothing was working but the remote still controls the projector, the lights, and the blu-ray player. When I select blu-ray, the projector turns on and the blu-ray player turns on but nothing at the receiver. I can see the IR sensor light up on the blu-ray player so i assumed the IR light was bad. I swapped the blu-ray and the receiver IR and the receiver one lights up and the blu-ray does not so I dont think its the actual ir itself. Has anyone else had this problem or know of anything I can try?
More info, the ir did pop off the receiver. I had tried holding it next to the receiver and it did not respond and it did not light up. I then plugged that IR into the blu-ray spot and just held the IR near the blu-ray and it lit up and worked.
