hoping for some insight. My system was installed by a local AV company originally using an iPad and C4 to turn off system, adjust lights, switch between dvd/Apple TV/ etc. at some point C4 started to not connect or would connect but stop working while in use (no control of lights or system even after it was used to turn everything on). Recently needed to have some service and the old iPad couldn’t support the new iOS3. Used another and during the service call connection was re-established and working. The system has always been on Wi-Fi as there wasn’t a hard line to the system from the router. I’m now being told that a hard line may fix the issue (of course cutting holes, drywall patch, etc) but nothing there is giving me a good feeling that this will fix the issue and keep my iPad connected. Are there suggestions from others who may have experienced an issue such as this? I’d be happy to go with a different controller but if Wi-Fi and the app don’t work well together then it may not matter what I use to control the system. System is my theater room with typical equipment.
