  1. I have not tried that yet and I’ll give it a go. I’m fairly green to C4 programming and I tried to add a pico mabually when I was having issue with leap driver finding the keypads and load, but wasn’t ever able to get it to work. I end up starting the project over and it worked fine. I did not go back to Caseta driver, but will give that a shot. Got to love when you use the system by design and things don’t work accordingly to plan. Slowly learning that about SDDP. Sounds great on paper, but starting to see it doesn’t play nice with every device. Thabsk for the tip I great appreciate it!
  2. Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually using Lutron Caseta. I just did training for RA3 and slowly making my way there. I'm not sure what you mean by bad patch? Are you referring to the processors, switches, or keypads? Also I'm not sure that would apply to my situation. The Picos I have in my demo setup are years old. The processor I have was made purchased in 2015 (not pro). On another project did this setup on the Lutron Smart Hub Pro is brand new and the picos are brand new. The issues I have described are the same on both projects. Another interesting note: I'm a URC total control dealer and have been using PICOs for keypads to do several AV macros for a while now and rarely if ever had issue with PICOs communicating to Controller.
  3. Yes that is correct. I'm using Lutron Caseta Pro HUB. We have 16 Lutron Diva Switches. They have no issue being controlled through C4. I use the C4 IOS app to confirm the communication still works between C4>Lutron Processor> Diva Swtich. I also confirmed I'm still able to control the devices without the PICO in the C4 IOS app. Therefore I have identify the issue is communication is lost from the PICO Keypad > Lutron Processor > C4. When I power cycle the C4 Core Controller it starts to work again. So I believe there is a communication issue between C4 and Lutron Processor only with PICO keypads. I have not been able to confirm whether it matter if the Keypad is associated with a light load in Lutron IOS APP. Currently I have the PICOs disassociated from any light loads in Lutron IOS APP.
  4. I have programmed in several picos in a project and I'm using them as keypads to control different LED strip lights in a project. I get everything setup and programmed correctly and they work great except I'm having an issue where they quit sending commands to C4 controller after 3-5 days. I've power cycled both the Core controller and the Lutron process and that has fixed the issue, but has come back after another 3-5 days. I have discovered I only need to power cycle the Core controller to make them function again. Notable mentions: This has happened on 2 seperate projects. 1 with a Core 1 Process and 1 with a Core 3 process. I do not believe its a wireless communication issue between picos and lutron hub. Other Caseta Diva switches I have around the house work fine in the C4 IOS app. Its not an issue with the lights I'm trying to control. They work fine in the C4 IOS app. When I run Luna in debug with Leap Process driver and the issue is present I see no commands being sent from picos to Luna. I do not have the keypads tied to a load (fixture) in the Lutron Caseta app / Configuration. Theses are the drivers I'm using. lutron_leap_processor.c4z - - Verison 10 lutron_leap_keypad.c4z -- Verison 15 Anyone else have a similar issues and come up with a solution? Thanks,
  5. I have a potential customer we are looking at doing a take over job for and I'm still a little green to C4. They currently have a HC-250 with 2 x SR-260 remotes (2 zones of AV) and 4 zones of audio with 8AMP-B. We are working through the process of what is functional and what needs to be replaced. The controller is definitely not working and needs replaced. Not sure on 8AMP-B since there is no controller functioning to run tests. My Question. Is it possible to pull the backup file from my.control4.com customer website and upgrade it a newer OS on a new controller (Core 1)? Or is it possible to downgrade the Core 1 to match the OS the current project is running on? I do not know what version OS they are on at this point, but just trying to under what the best practice is for doing a swamp without having the old controller functional. Can I run the file in virtual and upgrade the OS without a controller? OR Is it better just to start from scratch?
