No real issue with them but on a review site comparing Pella to Andersen 1-2 things caught my eye including home automation so clicking through I find http://www.pella.com/insynctive/home-automation-controller/ Seems like some windows and doors have sensors built in already? Assuming wireless so would need batteries to be changed. I am currently running a DSC alarm integrated into C4....Thinking it may get messy to run some security sensors direct with DSC and others in C4 Just seemed like a novel idea so wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts on the product.
