jedi7001
Ok, don't flame me but......Can the 16 channel amp handle 2 or 3 pairs of speakers off of one room? I have 6 speakers in one room I want to run all on the same output. Thoughts? They are just ceiling speakers. I will check the ohms tonight. RWelch
I spoke to Jim Gist at Control4 about this very issue. His response was that the 16ch amp is 4 ohm stable. This means that you can connect 2 pairs of 8 ohm speakers to one zone. I have done this with Niles outdoor speakers successfully. 3 pairs would likely not work well, and if it did work, it probably wouldn't work for long until the amp gives up. slemay
You could also wire them in serial which might help.
Troy BAV
I have 8 speakers in one room, using 8 amp channels. Just set the Audio switch as the end point for the room, then double click on the amp to bring up the matrix and set the outputs to the same input coming from the Switch. Set the levels to match and your done.
