Now with the new media management things should go better – well should.Here is the problem:In new Composer HE (2.2) there is an option „Update Media Tags“ which writes the tag info from the Control4 database to the files (very useful tool). This works well for „track title“ and „artist“. However „genre“ and „album name“ are left out and when you check the tag-info of the files with a 3rd party program after the taging process has completed the fields are blank. So when you do a proper rescan with Composer (look for new files and changes of tag info) your files you loose all information about „genre“ and „album name“ – This is very annoying, and it does get worse!Well you might think I don't care, then I just put in the „genre“ and "album" info with a third party program. But even for that possibility C4 has taken precautions: When you run the next „update media tag“ operation it will all get wiped again – wonderful!What the hell did the programmers/beta tester think while programming it?Can anyone comment on this with his/her own experience, maybe in older versions?
