schrady
Any ideas what it could be? I enter the code, it works, I open the door, and it sounds a 10 sec screech like an alarm. Very annoyingAny ideas why?I checked the battery. !00%
RyanE
May have *checked* the batteries, but have you *replaced* them recently?Usually, a long tone means either low batteries, or unable to engage the deadbolt (i.e. something in it's way, or maybe the door isn't closed all the way, etc.),RyanE
kevvo
Yah those things are finicky. Yesterday afternoon, I did a "check battery status" and it showed that the battery status was normal. I then went to unlock and lock it from the buttons and it could barely move the latch. Definitely not accurate in showing battery status.
schrady
Ok, Cool. So I'll replace the batteries. Thing is the bolt seems to turn fine. And it opens and closes unencumbered, so it couldnt be the failure engage or disengage. How do I replace the batteries again? kevvo
Slide the housing cover up and remove it. Inside, along the top, you'll see the 4 AA batteries in a holder. Pull that out.
