wappinghigh Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Can you help a fellow fan-boy out here:I'd like to get everything co-ordinated like you guys After reading this: see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3102518?start=165&tstart=0....on merging AppleID's, then creating the one "master" itunes library..all synced via icloud..I'm totally confused You say this can be done.I have 3 itunes accounts I use for apps, music and movies. One of these is an old mobileme account that has become an icloud account. This is active on one mac with itunes runningThere doesn't seem to be any iCloud settings here for music, or movies..The other two accounts have icloud setup (I think), but not turned on in any of the idevices or macsI want to set up the itunes library on an old MacPro (running 10.6.8 Snow Lep.) as the "Master" itunes library (running iTunes 10.6.1)It is the server that runs all the time (like your macmini's)I don't see iCloud appearing under system preferences on this MacPro.What changes do I have to make on this main iTunes "master" library and this MacPro's preferences?1/ Turn on iTunes Match? That only handles music right..what about movies?2/ Then what?3/ How do I get home sharing to "share" the three iTunes accounts I have? I only see a setting for one account under home sharing4/ Automatic downloads can only be set to one itunes account as well..5/ What do I have to do on all the other itunes libraries I haveWhat are the steps?Cheers
berazafi Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Apples inability to move accounts together is a pain, I have accounts for Canada and Australia and cant link them. What makes it worse is that some apps are not available in different countriesAlthough I haven't tried what you propose below, one of your problems is going to be that Snow Leapord does not support icloudhttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/3375077?start=930&tstart=0Can you help a fellow fan-boy out here:I'd like to get everything co-ordinated like you guys After reading this: see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3102518?start=165&tstart=0....on merging AppleID's, then creating the one "master" itunes library..all synced via icloud..I'm totally confused You say this can be done.I have 3 itunes accounts I use for apps, music and movies. well_armed Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Upgrade to Lion to get match. Drag all files (no matter the account) into the master library and authorize to play on that computer. You won't be able to access them on match (if under a differ account than the one signed in) but you will be able to play thru the computer when needed.
