AceOfSpades
I am having an issue with one of my C4 thermostats. The thermostat turns off once the set temperature is met. Worst time for something like this happen!!! (ATL heat is smoking). I have checked programming for the T-Stat and also ran the Detective Suite and couldn't detect anything. dgbrown
Do you mean the stat looses power and display goes blank ?
AceOfSpades
No. Stat's sets the mode Off. The display is ok. Just the mode switches to off.Wife is started to get pretty upset.:/
dgbrown
Is the stat perhaps resetting due to a voltage irregularity in power coming from the common ? If that might be the case run out to RadioShack and pick up a battery - your battery may be on the way out. This is a stop gap - you'll need to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Main thing right now is to get that AC back on.
AceOfSpades
I replaced the battery. Battery is showing @ 74% in Composer.
dgbrown
Is the stat running on battery ? Is it configured to power steal ? Or is it getting power from the common ? Was the AC working previously ? Any recent changes to the hvac system ?
AceOfSpades
No changes to AC at all other than working like a slave b/c of the heat outside and a boat-load of friends and family members.Although the battery was showing 74%, I replaced anyways and haven't had any issues since. Thinks for the battery recommendation.
