johanasoo7 Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I have a small system that will grow a decent amount in the near future and need to make a decision on which HC controller to use for my main workhorse. I will have two HC-300's and either the HC-500 or the HC-1000. With the new HC-500 coming out I can save a few bucks but I really desire the speed that everyone is saying the HC-1000 has. I know that noone has actually tested the HC-500 yet but with the stated specifications does anyone have an idea of what might be the best option weighing in with the added cost? RyanE Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 It mostly depends on how large your media set is, and how many navigators / other devices (dimmers, etc.) you will have in the project.The HC-1000 is considerably faster than the HC-500, but if you need the input/output on the back of the HC-500, the HC-1000 does not have any I/O on it.
