csmpez
I'm installing a pair of Wyrestorm HDBaseT cat5e to HDMI baluns for my family room TV, which is wall mounted above our fireplace. Currently, I have component and cat5e wiring between the TV and AV rack, which is in the other room/closet about 30 feet away. My question is where do most of you mount your transmitter and receiver baluns (in the av rack, on the wall, attached to the tv or to the wall behind the tv)? Also, do you keep them away from receptacles and other power supplies when deciding your placement for mount location? Just trying to see what's best practice when using these things. Thanks a bunch!Scott
ILoveC4
I mount the transmitter in the rack, and the receiver on/in the wall behind the TV. I'd avoid having the wires run parallel to power, and when they cross do it at 90° angles.
