Rachio Iro - Smart Irrigation Controller

 HouseLogix is pleased to announce new partnership with Rachio. Rachio’s smart irrigation controller, Iro, has many features designed to help save water, time and money. As usual, we carry the hardware and driver, and offer a discounted combo package. 

 

The Iro integrates nicely into Control4 and can be set up in minutes. Driver features include:

• Manually control zones from Control4 touchscreens

• View current zone status

• Rain Delay

• Turn device on and off

• Pause and resume schedule

 

These features grant the user the ability to turn the system on & off at will or via timer. For example, say you’re having some company over for a cookout. The user can set the sprinklers to turn off at 5pm and remain that way until 10pm when your guests leave.

 

You can access these features via smartphone app or Control4 panel. You can also check and view the status of your sprinkler system anywhere at anytime via Control4 interface.

• Automatic scheduling – Takes information about your zones and location and creates a schedule for you.

• Smart-Cycle - Schedules best practice watering cycles for your unique location.

• Seasonalization – Adjusts watering times throughout the seasons based on your location.

• Weather-Watch – Adjusts schedules to run only when water is needed, and not when rain is providing your yard what it needs.

• Operate from anywhere – Connect to your WiFi and control your sprinkler system from anywhere.

Is it expandable to more than 16 zones?  If you had more than 16 zones, any recommendations?  I have been toying with the idea of integrating the sprinkler system.

Rachio supports multiple controllers on one account, so you can easily add an additional 8 or 16 zones or more. The functionality is also built into the driver as well. When you setup the driver in your project, it will automatically scan for associated devices.
