Ideliver Posted May 10, 2008 Share Posted May 10, 2008 I use the device variable to save the CURRENT_SELECTED_DEVICE room variable. I use it for a doorbell function. Example... I'm watching one of my video sources.. lets say Satelite DVR1 in my master bedroom (or any other room). Someone presses the doorbell, I pause the DVR1, I save the Master bedroom CURRENT_SELECTED_DEVICE (which happens to be Satelite DVR1 at the moment) to a Device variable (ie. MASTER BED DEVICE), switch the TV video to the front door video monitor for 20 seconds to see who's at the door. then re-assign the saved MASTER BED DEVICE back to the Master bedroom CURRENT_SELECTED_DEVICE to restore whatever source I was watching before I switched to the front door video, and play the device from where it left off.Seems to work great Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
