External temperature sensor with c4 thermostat

Hi all,

I am using an external sensor (the recommended one by aprilaire i believe) to control my pool temperature.

I see big fluctuations in the readout (+\- 5 degress within a minute sometimes)

I tried another sensor and does the same thing.

I was hoping maybe someone has advice on how to overcome this by perhaps installing a capacitor across the sensor on the tstat ?

Any other advice is welcome
