davegempton
In the Composer under media / network file storage, there is audio and video media. When I run a scan under the video media it finds all of the mpg files on my NAS server. These are now displayed in composer as video files. When I use my remote and navigate to Videos / Browse / All It says "Empty".The Audio files in the Network storage seem to be accessed via the "Digital Audio driver".In the properties of the Digital Audio driver it says "audio/video input" but I can not see how to add a video source. Is there any way that I can access these mpg files ?Many thanksDave. thecodeman
You need a network video player to be able to play videos through control4 at this time. The Zatabit or Netgear Digital Entertainer series are confirmed to work and have drivers written already. After you purchase the Netgear 9150 for example, you plug it into your network. Your dealer installs the driver for it in your system and sets it up after scanning your network for video files. Then you can search the files through coverart on c4, but playback is actually handled by the netgear. Check out the netgear thread here for more information.
