flyingron Posted May 16, 2019 Share Posted May 16, 2019 My installer is stumped. Twice we've had amp modules fail in the following way. None of the channel lights 1-8 light upon power up. Briefly (for like a quarter of a second) the lights will flash blue and you will hear music from the speaker. It then goes dead for about ten seconds and gives another blip of music and blue lights. Once the unit fails like this, it will continue in this mode even if you disconnect everything from it (including power). Swapping on of the PAMP8's (I've got three) for the deceased one causes the outputs on the swapped working unit to work fine. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
flyingron Posted December 12, 2020 Author Share Posted December 12, 2020 I sent one in to be repaired, now the other one exhibits a similar problem. The thing powers up like the others (blue power light and a quick flash of orange on the 1-8 channels) but then the blue channel lights never come on and there's no sound. The mode switch is set to "POWER ON" just as my other ones. The thing is driven my the 24 port matrix switch which seems to work fine. It's getting costly having to replace these things.
