Apple Bridge and 4K driver - can’t pair/enable control

Recommended Posts

New Apple TV 4K box and Apple Bridge driver set up on 2.10.6

ATV has updated firmware and is working fine but not paired through C4.

Trying to enable Apple TV control in the iOS ap and never get past the “Apple TV Integration - adding devices” screen which I presume is why C4 can’t control the ATV.  Tried on iPhone and iPad after making sure I had the latest OS2 ap.  Rebooted both EA5 and ATV.

looking at debug info, room and device IDs are correct.  Refresh option in Apple Bridge driver attempts to create a non-voice remote with the setup code listed on properties page but device still shows “NOT ACTIVE”.  (I haven’t tried the Factory Reset option because I have no idea what it does).  In the 4K properties page Apple TV is listed as not activated.

‘Any idea on what I can try to get the ATV to pair with C4?

Is that the “Home” ap?  I don’t recall ever doing anything with that ap. When I open it it hangs at “Loading Accessories and Scenes” so maybe that’s an issue?

Should I try resetting the Home configuration?

The ATV is using the same iCloud account

Ok.  Reset everything and tried again.  Now see ATV and EA5 in HomeKit but the C4 driver is still not paired.  Sigh.

Edit: Guess I didn’t wait long enough.  Everything working fine now.  Key was starting over by resetting the Home ap, factory resetting the ATV and starting over.
