PenguinOpus Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 The system has the native C4 Z-wave controller and USB dongle. A Schlage door lock BE468 is installed at working locally. The door is too far from the dongle to see it directly, so we added a leviton dimmer, DZPD3, in between. Simply adding the dimmer is failing. It says it succeeds, but it does not populate the address in network connections and mouse-over shows "disconnect" greyed out. The adding process on the switch is: hold down for 7 seconds, wait til flashing amber, tap, wait... flashes green, stops, flashes 3 greens. C4 shows two messages: second one being "configuration completed successfully on device zwave:fc4042ef:0f". There is a green node in the available devices tree, mouse-over shows "driver is disabled". The repeater functionality seems to be working, somewhat, though because I can now try to add the Schlage. It fails because it "joined network insecurely".
