JMcNaught427
I upgraded my 5 year-old main (#1 of 3) 802.11AC (WIFI 5) router, which was wearing out (getting slow, CPU usage maxed) with a new ASUS 802.11AX (WIFI 6) router this week. My experience that followed surprised me, so I'm wondering if I did something incorrect/incomplete/just plain wrong. My Control4 system worked fine for about an hour, and then as time went on did more and more "odd things" - Touch screens would hang and spin endlessly on button presses, and eventually become non-responsive. - Certain actions would not execute, or would partially execute, and then hang Once I went into the router settings and turned off the "AX" capability (down grading it to "AC" only) all the problems stopped. Was the problem that I mixed an AX router with two AC access points elsewhere in the house, or are the C4 touchscreen (and possibly other) WIFI modules sensitive to the AX signal, and hang/crash? All is well now, but I was pulling my remaining hair out for about 48 hours...
