My Xfinity gateway router is out of date and I'm contemplating getting it upgraded, in part because my 5 ghz signal keeps dropping in the house. If I change to a new router, will my Control 4 equipment automatically pick up the new settings, or is it advisable to have a service tech visit from my local C4 dealer? I'm pretty inexperienced in this area and I want to be cautious so I don't create a larger issue with my system. Currently we use it to control our thermostat, lighting and music.
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice. When I was first contemplating this system over 2 years ago, this forum was most helpful.
