audio from video source in other rooms

Hello.

 

I am a new user for c4 and over all very happy.  Question I have is that I have a sound bar connected to a Sony amp with my 85 inch tv.   I want to be able to now add the audio that is paying on the sound bar  to other rooms in my house at the same time.

 

My integrator is saying this may not be possible without a video matrix but I have seen this done on ,more basic systems. Thoughts?

what kind (AVR, power amp, brand) of amp is it exactly?

And where does the video feed come from (source player)?

Which control system do you have?

Sony STR-ZA5000ES.  http://www.sonypremiumhome.com/pdfs/STR-ZA5000ES_SpecSheet.pdf     Video source  is Apple TV ot My Cable Box. I believe it is going  though the Sony Amp also.   Latest Control 4 system just  installed.

Hm, shouldn´t be a problem.

The AVR is capable of multiroom audio (https://docs.sony.com/release/Help_4587297121.pdf - topic 60+) and it should be no problem to control it via Control4.

Don´t see the need for a video matrix, but there might be an obstacle i don´t see....
