ebarak
Hi,I am about to finish the first phase in my project (Audio-Video..) and I was considering to put some dimmers and Key pads in several locations in the house to control lights. My question is about 3-way switch; how should I change it? do I need to put 2 dimmers one in each location? should I put a dimmer in one location and key-pad in the other location? how shall I connect the key-pad; does my electrician need to run a wire all the way to the main box (it is not going to be easy to do that from the fourth flor:/)?I will appreciate any suggestion or idea anyone may have?Future (I hope soon!!) thecodeman
Use a dimmer in the main location, and at the other, use a two-button keypad. The two button keypad just needs power, as it does not control the load's on/off - the dimmer does. The keypad is assigned to the dimmer in programming to make the three-way work.
