demcontrol4
I have an elan Com2 system for communications at my doorways. THe unit has relay trigger outputs that are activated when the doorbell is pushed on the com2 unit for integration with other systems. My dealer can't seem to figure this out to get this to integrate. How should this be hooked up. He said the relays on the control4 relay extender are for output only. Does c4 not accept any in bound triggers. Can you wire a relay to a contact input? He says he has all the program for the announcement agent ready to go but can;t get the 2 to communicate. Thank you for your help.
ILoveC4
I would wire the relay to a contact. That way the contact can sense when the relay changes. It should be pretty standard stuff really.
demcontrol4
Thanks for answering. That is whwat the dealer said as well. He just got it working a few minutes ago. It turned out my contact relay extender wasn't working (Dead Contact inputs). Put it in the hc300 instead and miraculously everything worked.
