Project Locked

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a HC300 that a friend of mine let me borrow that he is not using anymore. We decided to upgrade the software on it to match my composer version of 1.8. The upgrade seem to work fine but now when I try to do anything I keep getting an error that says "The project is locked. The system is most likely being updated. No modifications can be made." The HC300 is the only thing in the system. I even left the system run overnight just in case it was still updating. Is there some way to reset back to factory settings? When I connect to the system manager I see the following:

Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold

| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed

|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)

What version of Composer are you running? Just knowing it is 1.8 is not enough. There is a 1.8.0, a 1.8.1 and a 1.8.2 version of Composer.

The OS version you have installed on your controller is 1.8.2.65194 (the most recent version available) so you will need Composer 1.8.2.56194. Most likely your Composer version is not 1.8.2.56194. The problem you have described is symptomatic of a mismatch between Composer and controller software versions.

Oh yup you are right. My Composer is 1.8.0 Build 44415 and the update we did on the director was 1.8.2.56194. I think we just assumed that the update manager would push the same version of composer onto the director. Is there some way for my to sync them up?

Thanks,

Jaime

Ouch. Is this a pirated copy of Composer?

Thanks guys...my friend is going to talk to his other buddy who is a dealer to get the correct Composer for me. Basically I'm just using this as a test to play around with to see if I want to invest the money into Control4....which I'm sure I will be lol.
