stenkb
I know this isnt a netgear forum - but you guys seem to have more knowledge here. My eva9150 plays my dvds for me and all is fine but my receiver always says it isnt getting a surround sound signal from it - only a left and right....... is there a setting i am missing to have it send out digital sound? thx. thecodeman
Might be a dumb question, but you hooked up the digital coax connection right? And the binding is set? And how are the DVDs ripped?
stenkb
hmmmm - i am using the hdmi connection to my receiver - that typically should work no? so no, no digital coax hooked up.
thecodeman
Ah, ok. With the HDMI connection (we typically avoid that for numerous reasons for distribution setups but single zone is ok), what are the sound options set to?Here's the manual:ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/EVA9000_9150_UM_27MAR09.pdfLooks like on page 6-4, it needs to be set to "pass through". Try checking that.
stenkb
Thanks - you are correct - settings need to set to passthrough for surround to work -
