arpner
HiDue to putting some extra plug sockets in the attic I had to switch the power off, when it was turned back on and the system re-booted I now find that the volume up/down control and the mute key are unresponsive. I had also programmed some wall keypad buttons to change the volume and these are not working either. ( also the keypad in my spare bedroom is seemingly dead, no lights on )Im not a dealer but an end user so I was wondering could the power being switched off/on have any effect on the above, or is there another reason maybe why the volume isnt working and its just a coincidence ?Also if anyone knows if the keypad that has now gone dead is really dead id be grateful, cheers
ILoveC4
What controls the volume? Receiver, c4 amp, TV speakers...?
ILoveC4
I'd bet you have a receiver that's powered off.
arpner
volume is controlled by an Onkyo Receiver NR905 , its powered on as at the moment im using the volume dial on that to turn sound up/down. The volume works its just the remote isnt controlling it.
ILoveC4
How's the receiver controlled? IR, IP or serial?
Rsmolo
is the receiver switching inputs, turns on/off as it should?
arpner
Reciever is seemingly working as normal, switches inputs ok, powers off on room off, powers on as normal.I think its controlled by IP - is there a way to tell ?
dogdvr
the easiest way would be, check to see if you have an rs232 cable hooked to your receiver, or an rj45 jack

ILoveC4
Yeah, I would reboot your C4 controller and your receiver.
