davevt98
I am trying to put together a c4 system and have an installer only do the programming. I want to supply all parts and accessories. What switch do people recommend? I have cat6 cable throughout the house so a gigabit switch is what I am looking for. I know that the network is the most important part of the system so I didn't want to get a $20 switch from newegg and have it crap out on me in 6 months. Thanks for the input. ILoveC4
I use a Dell 2724 and love it. Before I got the Dell I used a Linksys commercial grade 8 port gigE switch I bought at Best Buy...it worked great too, I just ran out of ports.
Ajbarrister
Netgear 16 port 8/8poe (none left) and we are installing a Netgear Prosafe 24 port 12/12poe with 2 1 gigabit ports as I am installing 3 IP camera's with plans for 2 more. They get used up quickly; get the biggest one your budget can afford.
