mogrunt
I have an ethernet MTS on demo that locks up about once a day. It has the lastest firmware. Cabling checks out. Only about 50ft of cable from the router and PoE injector. Can't find a common denominator as to when it locks up. Ideas?
RyanE
When you say 'locks up', do you mean completely locks up, no button pressing works, or just no communications?I would say if it's completely locking up, RMA it.RyanE
audiovisionsbr
We are having the same issue. The MTS completely locks up and says it's "reconnecting..." We originally installed the MTS at a home show last month. Over the course of the weekend, we had to power cycle the MTS four or five times. We installed the same MTS at our showroom last week and when it locked up, we immediately replaced it. Although we are not in the showroom everyday, we've had to power cycle the new MTS three times since installation. Certainly we couldn't have gotten two bad MTS's. Could it be a network issue? Would it be better to use the wireless MTS?We are running a MC, wired-MTS, 8 dimmers, a 2-button keypad and a 6-button keypad. We have two rooms and separate audio/video endpoints for each. All C4 devices are running on a Linksys Wireless B/G router.Any ideas or thoughts?
All Wired Up!
Do you have it set to a static IP? Are you using the latest version of composer?
audiovisionsbr
Do you have it set to a static IP? Are you using the latest version of composer? Thanks for the reply! I've had a couple of people suggest Static IP's today, so I'm going to try that and I'll post my results.
