panamagixxer
Has anyone upgraded the 80gb harddrive? Sadly, I have more than 80 gb worth of music now and have an issue with the small drive. Can you pop open the unit and replace the drive - after transfering the software onto the new drive. Kinda like TIVO upgrades?
danlevine
Nope... I would definitely recommend against this considering the OS is on that partition. I would just use an external hard drive (USB) or a NAS device...
panamagixxer
Thanks - did not realize it was easy enough to just plug in an external USB drive (assumption on what you meant)? How do the two drives work together? No issues with music stored on both or do you just use the larger external drive?
danlevine
I would move the files to the larger external unit, and use the internal drive for just ripping cd's from the front. It works seamlessly. Especially with 1.3 Music management is much better.Dan
