shaneoneill
Question for all the music experts.I have all my MP3s and the proper tags just how i want them on a networked storage device (my pc) on the same network as C4 MC. My MC went down and it was replaced, so how do I get those mp3s onto the MC, EXACTLY how they are already edited, i.e. genre, title, author, etc as i changed it?? I spent a great deal of time getting them worked out exactly right with cover art and all thatI tried copying them over and importing the media list but that didnt work. I don't want to have to copy everything to MC and then re-edit the whole list again--what a drag. Shane
danlevine
did you export the media list before the transfer?
panamagixxer
I know I will learn from hands on experience soon enough? But could this be handled by using an external USB drive (instead of enternal drive) and using ghost software to keep a back-up of all music on another drive? slemay
This has nothing to do with the actual media - it's the indexed listing of the songs... if he made a backup of that list, then the index is backedup as well and thus the problem should be easy to fix. If he did NOT back that up - then he'll have to re-create it by hand all over again.
