wingzz
I am looking to add media storage to my system because I am still having problems getting the network storage to connect with my hard drive. The question I have is would it be better to get a usb drive or a Ethernet drive, this would be used for MP3 storage onlyAny suggestions on a drive or if Ethernet is better than usb or visa versa
Uncle Skippy
I like using a USB powered drive, that way if there is a power outage or something you don't have to "reconnect" to the network share. I'm using a WD passport 60 gig for my mp3 collection and it works great.
panamagixxer
I have a 400 gb USB drive with about 101 gb of music on it. Thus far, about 3 weeks, everything is working well. When I loaded large amounts of music on the drive (5 - 7 gb's), I would unplug the drive and plug it directly into the computer to speed up the transfer time. If I am adding an album or a few albums, I just do it over the network.
