grant0830 Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 We currently have a HVAC system with a Heat Pump and gas backup (located in Nebraska). We have three C4 Stats in a 3 zone system. The zone pannel is working properly when hard wired to it however when the C4 Stats kick on they are not sending a Y signal to the zone pannel (Heat Pump Not Coming On). Basically when the heat is on it is only bring on the fernace (Only Sending a W signal) and not the heat pump???The stats are currently wired RC, G, Y1, W1, O, C (matches the zone pannel) Enabeled are Heat Pump, Primary State Fan is Electric, Secondary State Fan is FuleIs there any setting in Composer that would effect the heat pump not coming on??Please help as we cant wake to a 57 degree house again. tinytom Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 C4 thermostat is not compatable with a dual fuel system by its self. It requires addition of a smart zone board such as a Honeywell HZ432. There are several posts on this topic. I suggest you consult a HVAC contractor.
