Neter66
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a wireless sensor that can be used to detect someone driving/walking up the driveway? I can't hardwire a sensor from the driveway to the server room, but I have a card access relay that is 1/2 way between the two.I was thinking of just using a regular motion sensor (card access or integrated with GE Concord) mounted to the posts at the end of the driveway. I have 120V power outlets in the posts, so that's not a limiting factor.Does this make sense? Or, is there a more elegant way of doing this?Note: External temperatures get to -40 degrees in the winter here, so something that isn't going to freeze is kinda important ThanksD. CFUG
What's wrong with just using some sort of Dakota Alert piece? The 3000 is good to -30 degF but I don't think you will find many people out in -40 degF to even worry about detection
