  1. Josh works really well.  Far better than my experience in the past with Alexa as voice with Control4.  Privacy is becoming a big issue to a lot of people, voice privacy will be next.  I am a Josh dealer and I have a setup in my home.  It works really well.  When set up properly it is so simple to talk as if it is an assistant rather than a computer.  Very few times does Josh not get what i ask correct.  And i throw some strange commands its way sometimes.  If you have josh play a certain song, you need to have a service that will play that song.  But if you have one that will, Josh finds it and plays it, in the room that you asked for it.  It integrates with Control4 really easily.  Fast setup.  Whether it is worth the cost is up to the user.  Subscription based because they need to make money and they don't sell your data.  Thats the point.  Privacy is important to some but not to all. the most important part to me is that it works, and it does really well.

  2. unplug your controller for 5 minutes.  then plug it back in.  give it 15 minutes for everything to come back to life before you try it again.  Locks can be finicky.  I just had this issue with my my only yale lock. (although i just helped another with this issue only it was kwikset.)  it showed feedback but the system would not lock/unlock.  Do the full power off of the controller though, a simply reset often won't work.  Let us know if this works.

  3. Not sure what driver they used, but i have Clare recessed door sensors that turn on garage lights, exterior lights, patio lights when opened.  I have Clare ceiling mount motion sensors turn on mud lights, kitchen lights, closet lights.  Easy add, just bind the sensor to a control4 "sensor" of choice and program.  Takes a few seconds.  I had the clare panel all set up and the sensors named prior to adding the driver to my system.  when it was added, all the sensors came up in composer pro as they are named on the clare side.  only ones i don't see are the water sensors, that might be a different story or more exploring to get to work.

  4. I have and sell many Clare panels. You 100% can use door and motion sensors to program against in control4. I have every motion and every door sensor working to turn on lights etc. I love the integration. It’s now owned by snap which is even better. And a very good price for what you can do. It has a hardwire add on too that can take your old wired sensors and integrate.

  5. Upgraded to 3.2. Speaker points no longer work. I have 1 zone that I need an additional amp of some kind. Ethernet is there. Any ideas how or what to buy. It’s my garage so I’m hoping to save money and get something that works, but not too expensive. (2) other C4 amps already in project but no way to run wire to garage speakers.

  6. I tried the write up with using powershell and the link to update my computer (windows 10) but no luck.  I am not getting an error like the description says that solves.  I simply cannot 'Add' any files to play with the 'annoucement'.  This happened after upgrading from 2.10 to 3.2.  Very frustrated if someone knows another way of getting those .wav files onto my system.  Or a clever way of playing my doorbell sounds.
