Thanks a lot guys. You've been very helpful to this newbie. One follow-up questions. I have a CAT6 cable run (not terminated) about 50 feet that I can make use of to connect the HC250 from the family to the Security System. How would you recommend me to connect the systems? For example, I can have the the IT100 module sitting next to the HC250 and use the CAT6 to hook the 4 wires to the KEYBUS. Alternatively (and nicer), I can have the IT100 sitting next to the Security system and use the CAT6 to carry the signal from the RS232 port to the HC250. However, if that is the case, how can wire that other end to one of the IR port?

Intergration with DSC IT100 module I understand the HC800 has a serial port so it should straight forward. But what about the HC-250, would I be able to integrate the HC-250 with a DSC IT100 module? If there some way I can make it work?
