you r spot on.  I want to replace the hue white bulbs with collr for my kids room but if i need to get out of the c4 app, open hue app to change color it drfeats the purpose a little.

i might just instll cheap led strip in their tooms, behind tvs as a stand alone and control them via the supplied remote

we have a mix of hue bulbs (white only) and c4 puck/switches for more than 5 years now and no issues at all.

my little girl and son want colored lights in thier rooms. 
 

what s the best route. Replace their white c4 bulbs with color ones or is there a better way of doing it.? 
 

we control the lights via ipads and phones scattered around the house but 90% of the time it s a simple on/off. How would color bulbs be changed from white to colored desided within the apps.

i was able to load apple homekit, set up the apple tv as well and add the function to the c4 app but it does nothing.

I have reset both the apple tv, c4 app and ea3 but to no vail.

when in homekit, i have it set up as my control4 system, showing favourite accessories bieng "control4 remote" and living room appletv(no response)"

do i need to add the devices to homekit. If i do a search on devices it finds my ea3. If i decide to add it it s asking me for a qr code or pin. Will thenea3 have it and do i need to do so.

any advice would be greatly appreciated as i am going crazy having to flick between the c4 app and apple remote...

when yoy mean apple home app install you mean home kit?

Both my apple tv and phone use the same ID.

long story short, when i use to have a gen 3 everything worked well, then it died so bought a gen 4 apple tv.

i had my c4 system upgraded to allow integration of the new apple tv, but it won t work.

Has anybody ever seen this by any chance and point me in the right direction

it s really pissing me off having to open the c app, choose watch apple tv, then go out and into the apple tv app to control it then back into c4 app to adjust volumes, lights....

I do not use a ISP router thankfully.

Since I indicated my willingness to change, they came back to the table and offered me what I was after in the first place, which was getting rid of my landline as I have not used it in 2 years and go on a lesser plan as I only use less than 300gb per month sports having an unlimited plan made no sense.

originally it was either unlimited or 100gb data and the ISP router included. I told them it didn't not suit me so I will cancel my membership and try another ISP.

$8hrs later, they have given me 500gb, no landline and no router for half the price which his great fo me as I don t have to do anything anymore...

I thought it was a major pain to change ISP but glad it s not.

I have been putting it off but I think I will jump ships very soon.

What about the account on the ea3 being under a specific email address. If I change ISP I will also loose my email adress.

just did a search on led strip and your post fought my eye, especially with the Dresden Elektronik controller. I already have a hue system integrated and running with c4. 

Does the Dresden Elektronik controller simply tie in the hue app and then do I simply get the dealer to integrate it in c4?

and can in purchase any led strip to work with it? I have three large sliding doors that i want to put strips above, so does it mean I need 3 controllers or can I simply buy one and have all three strips connected to it ( around 15m all up).

wondering if if your solution is just for wall mounted or can we use it for ducted.

we have a ducted daikin that I would like to integrate into c4 with hopefully a temp sensor so that I can have one sensor upstairs and one downstairs.

Crap, just noticed that those fan controllers are only 110v.

It really makes me wonder why no 220 version.

Sure Canada and the us are big and a a great market there, but surly, Europe, Oceania and the rest of the world are as mportant to the c4 market, so why still no 220 version.

Really annoying to be honest. There hc are 100-220 rated so why can t they do the same for the rest of the gear..

Wondering if with those fan controllers you can set them up so that they either turn on and off at a certain time of day automatically.

Would be great if they could be programmed so that they turn on about 1hr before I get home to get the air moving, especially in summer, or turn off at in the morning.
