My dealer (Magnolia AV) comes to do my install tomorrow. He wasn't sure whether he is required to pay and download the Koei Full driver, or whether I do that directly. Can you clarify how this works? It looks like the driver can be downloaded without a dealer login, but dealer login is required to purchase the license. Correct?
So, let's say the dealer installs the driver and I want to use the two day trial. What then? He has to come back in two days to buy and activate the license?
Please help walk me through the mechanics of this process.

Alanchow, I'm working on scheduling a time for my dealer to come and take a look. In the meantime, I just happened to be logged into my NAS and noticed that it is using port 8080 for its Web Administration. Could my problems have something to do with the fact that both the NAS and the Kodi HTPC are using port 8080? Or, does this not matter?

So, here's some additional weird behavior...
if I launch Kodi Control, then go to Music in Kodi, all buttons work fine,
Kodi Movies seems to work fine. If I launch it from C4 remote, play control buttons and arrow buttons work fine. Also, I see cover art when browsing the list of movies.
when browsing the list of music artists, there is no cover art shown. When browsing the list of albums, all I get is the spinning circle. List of genres comes up just fine.
what could be going on?

I confirmed by clicking the C4 Kodi Settings icon that Kodi on my PC and the Kodi driver are both set to use the same port. Here's the weird thing, if I choose the Kodi Control icon, instead of the Kodi music icon, then the arrow keys work just fine for navigating around the Kodi interface. What could be the problem?

Thanks for the advice! I will be sure to backup.
Unfortunately, my current phone is a Windows Phone. I understand there is a driver that will interface with a Windows Phone app, but it is an extra charge and my dealer says its not that great. I was thinking I might pickup a cheap Android phone just to be a backup remote. I'm assuming all it needs is WiFi connection? It doesn't need to be on a wireless phone network?

Thanks for clarifying my other question too! Dealer was out of stock on Composer HE, but I did order it and they'll be coming back to install it along with a few other things they need to tweak. I do plan (hope) to use the iPad app more often than not. I just have to wrestle it away from my 3 and 7 year-olds to give it a try. :-)

Thanks. Is there any way for me to see which port the C4 Kodi Driver is set to use? Then, I could adjust my Kodi PC accordingly.
On a somewhat related note, is there any way to control which screen Kodi lands on once I play a song? I think it would feel more natural to land in the music library, or maybe the now playing list.

Installer came today. It was his first time with the Kodi driver. He was impressed by your work Alanchow! He was impressed by how well it was written, all the functionality, and even the thorough documentation. :-)
Anyway, spent a little time testing it out tonight and I'm having a problem... I choose Listen from main C4 menu, then Kodi Music, and then play a song. At this point, my receiver changes to the input that my Kodi PC is connected to, brings up the main Kodi screen, and starts to play the song that I selected. The play and pause keys on the remote work fine, but the arrow keys do not. This leaves me stranded at the home screen.
Am I doing something wrong? Is something configured wrong? Is this how it is supposed to work?
