  1. @zaphod Download the latest, then SSH into your HA instance and stop HA Core. Next, open the archive and extract the control4 directory located under custom_components to the custom_components directory of your HA instance. If you don't currently have a custom_components directory under /config, create one. After you've copied the code into HA, restart HA. When HA comes back up, go to the Settings tab and click on Devices and services. You'll be adding control4 as an Integration, so click on the Add Integration button at the bottom right. Now scroll down to Control4 and click to open the configuration dialog. Enter your controller IP address and Control4 credentials you use to login to your Control4 customer account. When you submit the configuration to HA your C4 project is scanned to locate zones and devices. These zones/devices appear as devices in the HA integration.

This integration is a starting point for HA and C4. For me, any hooks I can get into C4 are welcome.

that's the difference between a consumer and pro.  You have to know what you are getting into before you do it...

As a C4 consumer without the advantage of documentation or dealer account, system self-management involves some serious risks. Fortunately, I read the warning on this forum and did not apply the recent NK-1/WK-1 firmware updates. It's clear Snap One systems are designed to be dealer-supported. These firmware updates provide a clear example of why, as a consumer, you really need to know what you're getting into when you purchase Snap One equipment.

  3. Sorry SnapAV bricked your NK-1. If you obtain the older firmware version, post a link to it here as I expect others will be asking for it.  Your post saved me from the same experience. I don't have access to Tech Notes, so will not accept firmware updates to my SnapAV (pakedge) gear. I'll be looking to transition away from SnapAV network gear as it is no longer self-manageable.

  4. I found Coolabode after my installing dealer became unresponsive. Andrzej and Kyle have always been responsive and helpful. Over the past year and a half they have handled product returns, operating system updates, and answered my questions regarding operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. My system has been made much more reliable since they stepped in. I adamantly agree with others here that Coolabode provides excellent remote service.

  5. I've been running Pakedge RE-2, NK-1, SX-24P,  SX8-P, and three WK-1s for a few years now. Outside of a few configuration and hardware issues, they've performed well. I've had to rely on a dealer to get me in touch with Pakedge when necessary. Not a lot of information available. You'd be your best technical support contact.

  6. I've found the LUMA Web Components plug-in works on Firefox 51.0.1 (32-bit). Newer 32 or 64-bit versions haven't recognized the plug-in on my Windows machine. I run both the older 32-bit and newer 64-bit versions with separate user profiles. I access the LUMA front-end with the older version.
