  1. Cheers Rav,

Thing is this event is defiantly being triggered when the Family Room Sonos is in stand alone mode and the logic works.

The AVR switches to the CD input, the Neeo remote updates the UI and volume gets set to 85.

It does not work if the Family Room Sonos is part of a group.

As this is a C4 driver, I may need to give them a call.

  2. I have three 2022 Sony Bravia KD-series TV's on a job.

While conducting Blackout tests I've noticed on two occasion the EA3 losing the IP address of these TV's.

The Bravia's are set for Simple protocol on static IP's.

I have manually assigned the IP's on the EA3 but after a blackout lost control initially of one of the kids bedroom TV's. On checking the IP entry this was listed as Not Addressed (it was)

After another test the Master Bedroom shows as Not Addressed (it was)

Anyone have any idea why these addresses are not sticking?

    Cheers

  3. Output refers to the Denon Main zone (as opposed to Zone 2)

So the logic is select CD input on the Main output.

The next line 'Select Family Room Sonos' is simply to sync the UI.

Omitting the select CD input breaks the programming although I don't know why as I would have thought selecting Family Room Sonos on it's own would have done the trick.

  4. I have some logic tied to the playing status:

    image.png.20e88d95f2f4422cd82649294f48adad.png

This works flawlessly until the Family Room Sonos is grouped with other players. It then appears that this event never gets triggered.

    Anyone seen anything similar?

Coming from Crestron how I can debug this easily?

    How

    Cheers

  5. So still very new to C4 coming from a Crestron background of 22 years.

Is there a way to customise what buttons are displayed on the UI. Obviously coming from Crestron we have VT-Pro for this.

It looks like the UI is kinda backed in on C4. Is this the case?

I'd like to remove all the superfluous buttons on Apple TV and Sky.

Any way to customise the UI and if so how?

    Cheers

  6. For the life of me I can't remember how to indent code like this

    image.png.d8e2bec4f19a76eb201fe633435db525.png

Did it on training and when I wrote the above.

Now returning to add this to another room and cant get the indent

    image.png.d2be906100eafa3611d5de6bc240aeb8.png

    What is the trick.

I struggled with this on training too.

    Thanks

  7. Hi David,

    That was very helpful.

nmap does in fact return port status:

So the question now is why do neither the chowmein or intrinsic drivers work?

  8. I've also downloaded the chowmein sky q driver from driver central.

It attempts to connect, states that its online in properties but never pulls in the mac address. Logs show it constantly connecting>online>disconnecting.

Starting to think it's an issue with the Sky Q box as I've never seen this sort of thing happening before.

Despite stating its online, I never have control of the box.

  9. Not directly Control4 issue but someone here may be able to shed some light:

Last week I set up a new program in Virtual Director and we purchased the intrinsic{dev} Sky Q driver.

This week I'm in the office setting up the physical system.

The intrinsic driver requires a static IP on the Sky Q - this is done:

    IP:192.168.0.201

    Subnet:255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.0.254

    DNS: 8.8.8.8

The issue at hand is that although the Sky Q is connected to the network and internet

    * The EA3 cannot see it and the driver is always offline

    * Sky Q cannot be pinged from same subnet

    * Does show up in Advanced IP scanner

For the life of me I cannot figure out why this thing is unreachable.

The router is Sky, so there are no VLAN's involved. It's a flat network.

Control4 related, this system has a Sky Q and two Sky Mini's in separate rooms.

How do I set up the Mini's with the intrinsic driver?

I can't see any way to differentiate them.

    Cheers

  10. Thanks for responding guys.

The big 'But' is that I cannot log onto the WAP's at the device level to turn off the guest network. If I hit the big blue switch on the configure page to turn off guest, it just sits there spinning its little blue wheel and never completes.

  11. So since updating the NK-1 to ovrc & updating all the access point fw:

    * Guest network has lost all security settings and now fully open

    * I cannot get to the guest settings on any of the 4 access points

From my ovrc portal, I can log in and connect to each access point then to Configure where I'm notified in bright red text that Wireless Network Settings for this device are managed at a site level

Under Wireless Guest Network Settings, clicking either 2.8 & 5Ghz I get:

    Cannot Connect
An error occurred while trying to connect to the device. Please try again.
    OK

    Not very helpful.
How do I manage my Guest networks now? These are now totally open networks and although my internal non-guest networks are secure I have no control over these.
Why did the guest networks loose their security setting after the update? I need to lock these down.

If I'm not able to resolve this I will be ripping the whole lot out.

    Thanks

  12. I've had a few minor setup niggles with the RK-1 connecting to my FTTP initially, but the it has been running now for 3-months with 420M download & 36M upload.

RK-1 is connected straight into the the ONT box presently through WAN-2 which is set up for PPPoE.

WAN-1 would only ever connect at 20M down & 6M up so that is why I'm using WAN-2.

Today I got a notification on the RK-1 there was a new FW update (1.08.0.100342) and made mention of some DSL speed fixes so after backing up the RK I applied the FW.

Now I can only get approx 24M download & <10M upload. Doesn't matter how I connect and have tried the following combinations:

    * WAN-1: PPPoE straight into the ONT box

    * WAN-2: PPPoE straight into the ONT box

    * WAN-1: DHCP through the Xyxel VMG3925-B10B cable modem/router provided by my ISP

    * WAN-2: DHCP through the Xyxel VMG3925-B10B cable modem/router provided by my ISP

All tests are carried out using the Speedtest App on my MacBook Pro with a wired ethernet connection.

I get 440M down & 34 up when testing directly connecting my MACBox to the Xyxel.

    Anyone else seeing similar issues?

    Cheers
