  1. I think for not enough reasons but the sake of more revenue to be generated, for control4 to terminate the hc250, speaker point amp and door station gen1 lines, that created an unfair situation for their existing customers To be flexible in this market is a concept going away unfortunately. So for an existing control4 client after 3-5 years with a control4 system in good standings performances, with the addition of Triad amps, DS2 (aka same as Savant), and EA1s. The upgrade becomes way too pricy. It’s worth to mention, If a HC800 without on screen works fine with the OS3 upgrade, why terminate the HC250. EA1s processing capacity with navigators are similar to HC250s without On screen ? I guess CA1s work just fine with the new OS If an IP single zone amp would cost less than 500.00 investment that still works on legacy firmware versions, ramping volume from a single input source. or for a client that spent 600.00 plus installation of an outdoor door station! Cosmetically is a huge costly change as well. These replacement costs to the end user for the sake of a fancy app, aren’t fair. SnapAv, aka the new boss, has Yamaha IP single zone SDDP amps for less than the Triad Version. Way smaller size as well any alternatives here? The 15%off for the customer upgrade program doesn’t wash the installation nor the cost of reinvesting these elements onto an existing system. The plus is OS3 gives more power on hands of the end user, and less time consuming for the dealers to set up medium to large systems. eventually, adding new customers hopefully will compensate the reluctance from a bunch of existing clients feeling like they were left behind and pushed on overspending with the present possibility of evolution from their systems. Overall. I look forward to see the new products like the handheld remote control and what the future updates will turn some existing lines to obsolete. Network wise I hope Pakedge evolves to a competitive price range vs go away Ovrc hubs are built in on routers and PDUs so the NK1-2 are just to be gone with the wind
