I'm not sure what smart devices or A/V equipment you already own, but you can install a very simple system that you can build upon over time for probably $1,500-$2,500 depending upon your existing network.  The nice part is that you don't have to do this all at once.  With Control4 you can continue to add and grow your automation without having to start over everytime something new comes out.

Caseta integrates very well. However, if you don’t already own the Caseta, just be sure that all devices will be within the reach of the Caseta bridge. Caseta uses a proprietary wireless called Clear Connect and all devices must communicate with the bridge for system device commands (30’ is the max ... but 1 repeater (dimmer outlet) can be used to extend the coverage, but only 1 per system). I personally used Caseta and have a fairly complex physical layout in my home, but once I was able to get all of the Caseta devices discovered by the bridge, I had no issues. I have decided however to move to C4 lighting for the additional benefit of enhancing my Zigbee mesh. (Plus there is a little further integration possible ... double and triple tap programming and device led customization). But at the end of the day, I’d say Caseta is a more affordable whole house lighting device system that integrates very well with Control4.

I don’t believe the Nest cams integrate well, if at all, today.

One of our longtime Pro forum members @msgreenf can likely shed light on that. Amongst many other areas of C4 integration expertise, Mitch is the camera integration go-to guy here.

Thank you very much for the help. I currently do have Caseta lighing.  I am just not sure if I should continue to use separate apps since everything works now or switch to a system like Control4.

Can you use Nest Cams and Lutron Caseta with Control4?
