  1. I posted this back in November but I never got a solid answer so I’m trying again I have a total of 7 cameras. 1 Hikvision DS-2CD2043 GO-1 (4K) and the remaining 6 are SnapAV WPS-750 1080P units. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to OS3. There are 3 locations in the house that utilize the TV on screen navigator; 1 has an EA3 and the other two are EA1's. None of the OSD's display the security tab that should show locks and sensors, the security system, and the cameras. This despite all of the devices are shown as "visible" in composer HE. Scrolling to the left and selecting "cameras" in the vertical list displays a message that the camera resolution is exceeded and needs to be a max of 640 x 480. I understand this reasoning and all the cameras have a low rate 640X480 secondary stream enabled. but for some reason the camera driver is not properly handling that. All the other navigators, 10" T3, Android phone, and iPad are fine. My dealer is a bit puzzled by this and I thought I'd pose the question here to help him out. ........... Option in driver?, different driver for OS3?, something else? Thanks in advance! Someone told me on the FB C4 forum that that the OS3 OSD cannot display the security tab or the sub items........this seems really strange

  4. Cyknight, OK, if you were my dealer what specific camera and NVR would you recommend to address my issue? Thanks
  5. Our house backs to a pond that is home to a bunch of Canadian Geese that invade our property, eat the grass and poop continuously everywhere. I’ve tried all sorts of deterrents like fencing and fake coyotes to no avail. The only thing that is 100% effective is turning on the the lawn sprinklers when I see them up on the grass. Since I have a smart Rachio sprinkler controller integrated to my C4 system we should have a great automation opportunity if we can reliably detect the geese presence, effect an event in the C4 system, and trigger the sprinklers. My plan was to use one of my security cameras and NVR to detect motion in the area, create a c4 event and turn on the sprinklers. Using a Wirepath 1080p IP camera and a Wirepath NVR has been totally unsuccessful. I recently discovered a device from Camect www.Camect.com that is a smart NVR with AI that appears to do some amazing object detection and alarming. One of their videos shows the detection of a raccoon at night with just IR illumination from the camera! Apparently you can instruct it’s AI to distinguish between a UPS an FedEX driver! I contacted Camect to see if that had a way to integrate to C4. Their suggestion was to get a box from Universal Devices (Psi…something) to integrate their box and Rachio. The Psi box at $379 is interesting but is just taking the place of my C4 system. So……..I need a C4 driver for the Camect NVR. I can see this being VERY useful in a lot of systems and a great addition to a dealer’s toolkit. Thoughts? FYI: I’m a former C4 dealer, now retired
  6. Alan Chow, Thanks, that looks great. Unfortunately, following your instructions, once I hit “about” in the device it said I was in the developer mode and immediately threw up a screen asking for a PIN preventing me from enabling USB debugging. This was apparently put in by the box manufacturer. Can they do this legally under a Android license?
  7. My TV service provider, TDS, just installed new set top boxes for their TV+ service. TV programming as well as internet is delivered directly to my house over their all fiber network. I’m getting 600/600 Mb/s internet speeds. The boxes they are supplying are eSTREAM 4K 2x2 Model number IPA1114HDW 02.1 500 00T TIVO. The manufacturer is evolution digital. They are connected to my local GB ethernet network on a wired basis but apparently can work WiFi as well. In addition to the ethernet jack there are two standard size USB jacks and a SD card slot. It appears that the OS inside these things is Android with a lot of TIVO functionality. Now for the bad news: The remote communicates with the box using Bluetooth. I can’t see anything on the box that might be an IR receiver. The remote is apparently capable of emitting IR to control other devices like the associated TV. So, how can these devices be integrated into my C4 system? Two possibilities I can think of: 1. An IP driver. My dealer and I tried a couple of TVIO drivers without much luck, but we didn’t sped a lot of time on it 2. Video Storm makes a USB to IR dongle that might be another approach. Their website even states “now works with android TV boxes” Any help would be appreciated. George ( I was a C4 dealer for 10 years before selling my business and retiring)
  8. My dealer just installed the Blackwire driver for my Rachio sprinkler controller plus the C4 sprinkler experience button. I'm running 2.10.6. It was his first experience with the Blackwire/Rachio install so I'll cut him a little slack here. The Blackwire documentation doesn't explicitly show what the touchscreen UI should look like but all I see is a single icon that looks like grass. Touching the button places a water droplet in the grass and a number in it's lower RH corner. Subsequent presses advance the number. A double tap returns the icon to it's idle grass only state. Also....... it never controls the sprinklers in my system. The blackwire setup instructions seem to imply that the driver will autopopulate zone names from the Rachio and allow for different watering times.....none of this is on my system. Any idea what the problem might be of what setup steps may have been missed?
  9. My dealer will be installing a Driver for the SnapAV Luma 500-4ch NVR in my C4 system soon. Does anyone know if the Luma driver presents the NVR's ALARM state as a C4 programming hook?
  10. Yep, figured it out. Thanks for the confirmation. Not obvious from the documentation.
  11. I currently have 4 Wirepath 750 cameras integrated to my C4 system running 2.10. I have recently acquired a SnapAV Luma 500 4 channel NVR that I also want to integrate for recording. The Luma NVR has a single network LAN port for camera viewing and management plus 4 POE ports for the cameras. The issue I'm facing is that the existing cameras do not home run to the NVR location, rather they connect to network LAN switches located throughout my house. So....my question is: Can the Luma 500 NVR be configured to access cameras that appear on the NVR's LAN port as opposed to the NVR's dedicated POE camera ports?
