Would recommend using the IFTTT driver from @alanchow for location tracking/geofence w/C4 via Pushover; it's solid and isn't using anything like an unofficial API.  I've been using it for over 18 months now w/o any issues. Works really well for my wife and I when entering/leaving the home. I had to create some variables to track events, but I now have 4 macros based upon it:

    1. First person arrives home
    2. Anybody arrives home
    3. Anybody leaves home
    4. Last person leaves home

Additionally, I've been able to have other scheduled events to only fire if someone is home or nobody is home.

Do I feel geofencing should be part of the official C4 app with 4sight? Yes--but this is what we've got.

Might be a dumb question here but... how did you setup these rules with first in/last out rules? I'm sure that I'm missing something simple here but with IFTTT I just see when "my device" enters/exits the area.

    Thank you!

  2. Best way to get LQ ThinQ HVAC units to integrate into C4? Setup details below:

    • 2nd Floor (Condenser #1)
      • 1 in ceiling cassette (with Wi-Fi module)
      • 1 full size air handler (with Wi-Fi module, external humidifier and HRV)
    • 1st Floor (Condenser #2)
      • 2 floor mounted units (1 master/1 slave with Wi-Fi module)
      • 2 full size air handler (1 master/1 slave with Wi-Fi module, external humidifier and HRV)

All thermostats are in basement with temperature sensors for each zone.

4 zones in total. I do have 4 C4 Aprilaire thermostats (https://www.control4.com/solutions/products/thermostat/) that I can use but don't want to lose any functionality in the systems (fully modulating fans/dehumidification/humidification/moving louvers/etc...). Any suggestions here?

We will eventually be adding (at least) 3 more zones to the system with similar setups to above.

  3. I am looking for a "single use" button that I can stick somewhere to control macros/scenes. I have a VeraPlus ZWave controller on my project doing most of my lights and tried to add a Fibaro "The Button" https://www.fibaro.com/us/products/the-button/ but it will not add as it only takes "switches" from the VeraPlus controller.

Does anyone know of anything similar to this? Or any kind of single press button that can be added to a project?

    Thanks!
