  1. For anyone else looking for a 3rd party replacement, we were able to find an alternative from TTI and are in black vs green:

    https://www.tti.com/content/ttiinc/en/apps/part-detail.html?partsNumber=39530-0004&mfgShortname=MOL&utm=ga-shop1&channel=ppc&source=google&campaigns=tti-products&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2sqOBhCGARIsAPuPK0iKsXdUtTtU5Rl_5_dQFcLxGuiZY7HfQof1k8cgXGkUPoVImhiMBNQaAppjEALw_wcB

    Part number is:

    39530-0004

They are priced well and shipped quickly, attached pics for reference, original on the right, 3rd party on the left.

  2. Hi,

I'm looking for someone who is able to purchase and install the RoomMe driver for my project. It's just an install and planning configurations for later. I've been looking around and getting some proposals for $100 for the install, plus price of driver. The driver is $75, so I was looking to see if anyone is available to install at a more reasonable price? I'm sure it'll be for a quick 15-30 min job. Running on the latest version, 3.2.4.

    Thanks,

The one thing I’ve noticed is that my snapshots always give me someone just as they are entering the camera range which is usually just a foot or the start of the body. What setting would be the one, if any, to delay the snapshot slightly beyond the first immediate sense of motion?

The snapshots can be tricky, I've noticed the same thing occasionally. You may consider changing the snapshot time space, which will give  a break between each snapshot.

Just wondering what are the ideal motion detection settings you all are using for your DS2 doorbell?

Mine are set as follows (I assume the default settings):

    "motion detected interval (seconds)":  5

    "motion detected threshold (%): 20

"motion not detected threshold (%): 10

Just FYI, my doorbell does not really face a busy street or sidewalk ,(I live at a dead end street in a cul-de-sac) and there is really not alot of motion in front of my front foyer.

    Thanks

I use the same settings, although mine points to opposite wall, so don't have too many "false" motion alerts. I've never really played with this setting myself, although if you notice you are not getting snapshots or motion triggers, you may have to increase the value of the threshold to decrease or increase its sensitivity.

I believe the "motion detected interval" is essentially how long it takes after the 1st motion trigger, so it won't keep triggering constantly within those 5s. You may want to bump this up or down depending on how much motion triggers you end up getting, such as traffic, people, windy trees or other items moving around throughout the day and night.

If you look at the DS2 settings via the browser via its IP, you will see how the 10% and 20% correlate, you may have to adjust it a big more or less. The nice thing is that it has a nice activity graph, so you can test and see how motion affects it and you will see it turn green and red and get an idea of how motions are measured. You may find it easier to use a laptop, so you can actually walk in front and test and see the results.

One you log in, you will see the hardware, camera, then internal camera to get to the settings and you can also adjust the box of the area you want it to trigger for (I blocked out the image for security):

I know that DS2 is a bit older now, but this is essentially an enterprise device, so there are all of advance settings you can play with. Hope it helps! :)

I am having trouble with my DS2 driver settings sending me email snapshots.

I am using a hotmail.com account and filled in the settings according to the documentation .

Unfortunately  it is not working and I must have an entry wrong.  Anyone have any ideas if these are the proper settings for hotmail/outlook?

    thanks

    Hi,

I personally use a Hotmail email with my DS2 and I use the SMTP Server Address of the following and its currently working:

    smtp.live.com

Everything else when comparted to mine is similar, technically  smtp-mail.outlook.com should work. Maybe double check you have the right password too. It could be they will eventually stop supporting smtp.live.com.

I was looking for the door station manual too ... as does anyone know what this green open door icon means on this doorstation? It has only appeared in the last week or so, and the only change to the system I have done recently through Compose HE is add an additional door code.

The door is locked, and works as normal with original and new codes, just not sure what this icon is saying? The green open door icon stays on permanently, even when the door is open or closed/locked.

    thanks

    Hi Ninja,

I'm not certain how you have yours programmed, but I have mine set to unlock a Zigbee lock on my door. If you have physical relays, etc. I'm not certain how this will affect those, do at your own risk. I'm still testing this out my self and would apricate if anyone else might provide any other details they have found.

If you log into the GUI via browser for the DS2 and go to services and automation, you can create a new function to disable it. Make sure you don't play with the 1st one as that one is tied to the doorbell function. I created a new one "User Authenticated (clear green icon)":

    image.thumb.png.bdcb6cb73862c55f5e2759a27b5da72e.png

Then create the following and add your users, set delay to 5 secs, then set activate switch to 3 and state as "off". Ensure to save it:

If it causes any issues, you can just delete it.
