These are the top of the range edge lit glass panels from Velbus. (standard size 82mm x 82mm, fitting in 67mm round or square back boxes)
Each one is also a full HVAC thermostat

All button events can be detected in Control4, or used solely with the Velbus configuration software to trigger Velbus output channels.

(Ideally, the Velbus system would be fully configured before importing into Composer, so that C4 only handles extra events or protocol translation to other systems, however YOU can decide how you prefer to configure it all)

The four edge lights are all independent, offering ambient RGBW set from C4 or Velbus events
Edge lights can be used as Feedback indicators (if configured in the free VelbusLink software)

OLED versions offer up to 8 pages of 4 button with fully configurable icons and labels
C4 composer can inject scrolling text (Useful for "now playing" or bespoke alerts)

OLED versions can also display thermostat settings for up to 13 panels & Energy monitoring

Non-Edge Lit panels are available with similar functions.

Each session well last about an hour, with plenty of time to ask questions and discuss the options.

These drivers will be available to everyone around the world.

We're planning on including this Weather station in the Control4 driver

It provides :-

• Wind Speed
• Rain fall
• Light Level
• External Temperature

As well as

8 button events which can be configured within the device to signal that any combination of parameters have breached a threshold.

For example., a button state will show as pressed if

• Wind speed has exceed 62KPH AND rain fall if greater than 100mm per hour for more than 10 seconds.
  (As shown here)
  

Or

• Light level is below a threshold AND wind speed is above a threshold AND rain fall is above a threshold

I'm sure this isn't a surprise to anyone, but here's a little demo of a Velbus glass panel displaying live "Now Playing data" via the "Memo Text" feature. 

Volume & transport control is done by monitoring button events.

It'll also be possible to force an Edge Lit Oled panel to jump to a page, as well as setting the edge colours.
