  1. Thanks guys - appreciate your replies.
  2. Not yet, but looking seriously at it in the near future.
  3. Wow am I excited about the Josh Edge. On the surface the idea looks like it could be an almost perfect product for our family. Our kids are huge users of Siri with the the Apple TV remote. We've been looking at Halos for the voice integration, but for kids are hesitant - I don't think it'd take long for them to smash that screen. Assuming the Edge supports Siri voice commands through to an ATV, that ticks pretty much every box. I can easily see putting a Josh Edge in most rooms with TVs (instead of the SR260s we were planning) and reserving the Halo Touches for select rooms. Maybe I should consider the AVA remote instead of Halos.
  4. That's right, not available in my area yet, which is why I'm looking at second hand gear, self install and a remote dealer to help with the activation, setup and initial configuration. If there are licensing, legal, terms of use, etc reasons why it isn't available yet outside North America then I'll steer clear and wait for an official path. But if it is just an operational decision that Josh has made to allow them to focus their support and sales efforts in the North American market first, I'm eager to try and get it working with the help of a registered dealer. From their FAQ it appears to be a language processing decision - they're focusing on English first. As I'm in an English speaking country, and don't mind my digital assistants having a U.S. accent, that part doesn't phase me. I've reached out to Josh directly to ask about this approach too. If there aren't any legal blockers, I'd like to find a dealer who is able to assist from the U.S since we don't have any dealers where I live.
  5. Hey everyone - curious if "remote dealer" is a thing for Josh like it is for Control4? I'm outside North America and unfortunately Josh isn't available here. I am very underwhelmed with our current Alexa set up and would love to play with Josh and see if it is right for us. I am more than happy to buy some second hand bits (thinking a Core and a Nano to start) and physically install it myself if a remote dealer can log in and activate it for us. Appreciate I won't get support or warranty etc from Josh for this type of setup and I'm ok with taking that risk. Thanks all
  6. Quite a bit, aside from the new faceplate. Full power to all 16 channels, discrete amplifier power for each channel, rather powering all 16 channels even if only one zone is outputting, new amplification circuitry. Some other stuff I can't remember. Good, but lengthy, webinar from Snap on it here:
  7. Thanks - have no idea how I missed that. I have that exact document sitting right here.
  8. I want to add an extra 4 zones to my current audio setup, potentially replacing the current PAMP4-100 with a PAMP8-100 (not the new 125). Can someone confirm if it limits power output when all zones are active? I've heard that when all zones are active is halves the power output to each channel - but haven't been able to confirm this anywhere and my current integrator doesn't know about this. Rack space is a bit limited, so I don't want to add another PAMP4 along side the existing one. The other option is to get the PAMP8-125-V2, but the price on the PAMP8-100 being offered is pretty good.
