I was wondering if you guys could help me out.
I want to integrate hikvision wifi cameras onto my system.
My system is running 2.10.6 with an ea-5
The hikvision camera i'm trying to install is a DS-2cv2041g2-idw
I had my dealer install some random drivers into the system so I could play with them. I have a hikvision driver as well as ispy drivers (one with a place to enter a mjpeg url and one without)
So here's my basic problem, I can NOT get thumbnails/preview working on my Android phone or touchscreens. However, I get previews on my ipad.
So on the driver side: the hikvision drivers basically automatically detect the new cameras. They get the right model # and firmware, I can see the preview and pull up the video on my ipad. I can pull up video, but the preview/ thumbnail remains a "no image blank space" on my android phone and touchscreens. I can't enter in a snapshot url in this driver.
The ispy drivers. After entering in all the ip address, port info, login, etc. After some searching I even got the correct urls for the RTSP and the snapshot.
The RTSP url works in VLC and it works on my phone, ipad and touchscreens.
The thumbnail/snapshot http url works in Chrome - I can pull an image, but the preview only works on my Ipad - my android phone and touchpad are blank spaces
I am going nuts. I have tried resizing the image using query parameters. I've gone all the way from 1920x1080, 720x480, 640x480, even down to 320x 240 and it resizes in chrome after checking the dimensions, but I can't, no matter what I do get a thumbnail to work on my phone or the touchscreens.
for example i've got this in my snapshot url now: ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/picture?videoResolutionWidth=1920&videoResolutionHeight=1080&output-format=jpg
I've changed all different combinations of digest and basic authentication.
On the camera side I've tried all the different resolutions offered of the substream (not that it should matter as all I want is a thumbnail and the video does already work) I've gone from 1280x720p all the way down to 640x480. I've toggled it from h.264 to mjpeg... and I can still get video - but I can never get a preview on my android phone or those darn touchscreens.
Does anyone have any ideas??
